The Department of Social Anthropology has established the Wednesday Seminars. These seminars are vital to the strategic research of the Department and its connection to the rest of the academic community and society. Each semester there is a common theme around which these seminars are organized, as well as the presentation of ongoing ethnographic research. Guest speakers from universities and research centres from abroad also participate in the seminars.

The Wednesday Seminars constitute a place of scientific convergence and dialogue of the teaching and research staff of the Department and mainly address prospective faculty, postgraduate students, as well as undergraduate students who are close to completing their studies. They also address members of ADF and researchers from other Departments of Panteion University and other universities and research centres.

The seminars are open to the public.
