TheXanthiMusicSchool, on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 April, is holding events dedicated to Vasilis Tsitsanis

 

1. Tuesday 19 April 19:30

A discussion is to take place at the institute of Thracian Art & Tradition on the subject of ‘The music of Vasilis Tsitsanis and its reverberation on the present’

Discussants:

Dimitris Vlahomitros, music teacher at theXanthiMusicSchool

Nikos Katsikis, musician

Nikos Ordoulidis, researcher of the composer

Giorgos Tsabras, radio producer of the ERT Second Programme

2. Wednesday 20 April 20:00

Musical performance-tribute to Vasilis Tsitsanis in the amphitheatre ‘Karatheodori’ (Kimmeria) with the participation of the renowned singer Dimitra Galani and the musicians Nikos Katsikis and Nikos Ordoulidis.

The event is co-organized by the Cultural Centre of theMunicipalityofXanthiand theMunicipalityofAvdira, under the auspices of the Community Centre ‘Stavros Halioris’, the Union of Secondary Education of Xanthi  and ‘tuvunu’.
